Emerging Digital Concepts (EDC) was founded in 1997 as the vision of two, former IBM systems engineers. One of their goals was to form an engineering and consulting services company aimed at delivering highly sought after, cutting-edge engineering skills, architectural insights, and product development expertise. EDC provides on-demand and contract model services with the flexibility and nimbleness that cannot be achieved by involving huge integrators or companies that have outgrown their initial visions.

The National Capitol Region CAD to CAD Interoperability Data Exchange was awarded the Best of NIEM 2011 Award. This year's Best of NIEM awards were announced on Wednesday August 24, 2011 by Donna Roy, NIEM Executive Director, and presented by Richard Spires, Chief Information Officer, Department of Homeland Security. Emerging Digital Concepts designed, developed, and successfully deployed this landmark technology.

EDC Demos CAD2CAD at APCO International Conference

EDC attended the 77th APCO International Conference in Philadelphia, PA to demonstrate CAD2CAD. The CAD2CAD product will be branded as Evolution C2C and offered as part of an NG-9-1-1 ESInet suite of hosted applications with partner, Synergem.

NCR CAD2CAD Phase II Enhancements Commence

EDC was recently awarded funding to commence Phase II enhancements to the National Capitol Region CAD to CAD Interoperability Data Exchange. The enhancements are aimed at facilitating greater data sharing within the region for both participating and non-participating data exchange partners. Phase II enhancements will provide authorized exchange clients access to the exchange data enabling them to create broad based and highly specific situational awareness views. The integration of unit location data will yield even more response efficiency when dispatching emergency response units.
